The Brown Stuff - a Video

Online Stock Trading - What is the Brown Stuff?

Daniel Hannan's Rottweiler Video Attack on Gordon Brown

The stock markets are in a mess (not over the last week of course but over the last 18 months) the economy is in a mess that could get a lot worse. Unemployment is soaring - nobody is investing - businesses are closing down right left and centre and yet Gordon Brown (let them eat waste !) insists Britain is doing much better than everywhere else (patently untrue) and that despite the fact that he has been responsible for the economy since 1997 it was none of his fault - what was he being paid for then? Ever wondered what the Brown stuff is - well we are in it.

In this speech at the European parliament Daniel Hannan lets Gordon Brown know in no uncertain terms what he thinks of his Brown stuff. Gordon Brown grins on undeterred of course as usual, just keep grinning Gordon maybe one day you'll wake up and find it was all just a terrible dream.

Don't forget to use the currency converter while watching the video !

Nice site man. (And a hilarious article. Do they call him Brown Stuff over there or is that your own concoction?)

It's my own smelly concoction. You've got to remember apart from Gordon Brown's obvious incompetence (he's been in charge of the UK economy since 1997 but claims none of this mess is his fault) - he also has the unique characteristic of never having been elected Prime Minister, so in one of the world's so-called greatest democracies we had a Prime Minister imposed upon us that very few people would have voted for. He was appointed Prime Minister when Tony Blair resigned - they had a deal in place that TB would resign and let GB take his place - TB was not too keen to honour his part of the agreement however, until GB and his groupies forced him out. People here in the UK wanted an election but GB refused because it was obvious he would lose. (Lecture ove ! :-)) - Good luck with the new blog -you in the USA or in Canada?

I'm in the U.S.

I have to say it's truly entertaining to watch your Parliament. (They are shown on our CSPAN channel once a week here.)

On another note, what kind of a CTR do you get on this site? The setup seems very much in the tradition of Grizzly.

Hi again
Yes, our politicians are very amusing - all they need is a few custard pies and the Houses of Parliament would be compelling viewing.

Re: CTR - I could tell but then I'd have to track you down and kill you and given my poor physical shape and the fact I can't afford the air fare and given that I really can't be arsed writing to Google to get their prior written consent, I think I shall draw a discreet veil over that particular snippet of information - "You agree not to disclose Google Confidential Information without Google's prior written consent. "Google Confidential Information" includes without limitation: (a) all Google software, technology, programming, specifications, materials, guidelines and documentation relating to the Program; (b) click-through rates or other statistics relating to Property performance in the Program provided to You by Google" I am shocked that you should even ask - but I'm sure you can make an educated guess :-)

Re.: Grizzly - I have to disagree, I have a nice pretty picture for my Avatar, which Grizzly would probably consider somewhat distracting ! But in fact I was thinking very much the same thing about your blog - a fine example of a well-targeted blog. Have you done this sort of thing before ?

P.S. - I have to add this PS a i can't find a way to edit my own comment which seems odd.
This guy has a blog which is much more like Grizzly's than mine - apart from the colour scheme of course - http://stocktradingsite.blogspot.com/

Eh, I forgot about G's rules -- I'm still a bit new to the scene. Wasn't sure what you can and can't say too, lots of people allude to a click-through and even more tell you their monthly earnings.

(By the way, I was a bit shocked to see you are a Ramana fan. I've found urbangurucafe.com to be a good audio resource of current Advaitins.)

As for nowbuystocks, yes I started it recently, following the directions on the "Earn Online Income (or Cash?)" blog, which Grizzly linked to. Yes, it is hyper-targeted, although maybe for too broad of terms. It's too early to tell. I plan on seeing how searchers find it, and then expanding on those specific terms. Adding Adsense of course. I have another site, pascalsdog.blogspot.com, which gets more traffic. I use it to do bolder experiments and it's monetized already. Reading its logs has already taught me a bit about the almighty Algorithm.

Thanks for the links. I'm shocked that you have heard of Ramana - not tht many people have. Are you a Sailor Bob fan ? I don't listen to many current Advaitins but Sailor Bob is one I do listen to.

This blog doesn't make much but I'm going through it adding more keywords as it's old and full of all sorts of junk so maybe the visitors will increase - there was a surge today just after you stumbled upon it so maybe my cleaning is having some effect on visitors but not on their to click on anything. What do you use to read the logs ?

I have one of Sailor Bob's books, but there's a lot of people I like better. If you haven't heard of Wayne Liquorman you might like him. I used to go over to his house in California. advaita.org

I use statcounter. There's a post over on webmasterworld about "log-walking", it explains how to kind of revamp your site based on your logs. That's where I got the idea. It's like seeing where a little leak is coming through search engines to your site, and then going right to that leak and hammering it into a bigger hole and see how much water comes in.

Then maybe some other leaks spring open here and there caused by the big rush you just got, so you go hammer those holes open, too.

I am very proud of myself for that analogy. I hope it makes sense.

Yes, I have heard of Wayne Liquorman, I even went to see him once in London, but I've got to say I prefer Ramana and also John Sherman who is in California. Thanks for the urbanguru link - I discovered Gilbert Schultz there who I hadn't heard before.
Your analogy is a fine one ! and makes a lot of sense. I'll go have a look for the post at webmasterworld. I'll also check my stats and see what holes I can pick away at ! There was a strange surge in traffic yesterday, but not revenue, did you Stumble my site by any chance?

Buy Stocks said...

No, I didn't stumble your site. You should use G Analytics or Statcounter then you could see the source of that traffic.

The only thing I did was leave a comment on that other guy's site you sent me to saying that sharescity sent me there.

I use statcounter - I had a quick look the other day but didn't notice anything, I'll have another look. Have you seen Griz's latest post ? Quite illuminating.

Buy Stocks said...

I read it quick, but I didn't so much follow the Site Build It thing, because I had never heard of Site Build It.

I just mean statcounter should tell you if that traffic came from Stumble or search or wherever.

The SBI thing was an interesting exercise in SEO and getting backlinks but also "much ado about nothing"
I put up a link to your site in my blogroll BTW - have you looked at the list of people looking for link exchanges on Griz's site ?
