Online Stock Trades - Oscar Carboni the Real Deal?
Oscar Carboni - Real Deal or Scam?
I have been following Oscar Carboni for a few months now and I wrote a post about his video in which he mentions a possible fundamental shift in the markets back on 27 March - Oscar Carboni Online Trading , but I have noticed a number of people wondering if Oscar Carboni is running some sort of scam.
Personally, I really don' t understand how people can think he is trying to scam people. Most of the information he puts up on the Internet is available totally free of charge. He puts up videos on youtube.com/futuresanalysts - usually 2 or 3 videos a week - in which he clearly states his position ahead of the market opening bell and where he thinks the markets will be headed for the next day. He also has a website - Oscar Carboni Day Trading where he puts up the same videos and also a whole load of other information free of charge. He is also online most days so you can watch him live and chat with him - all free of charge.
He does have a subscription area too, and if you sign up you get more details and alerts earlier, but there is never any pressure to sign up, so I don't really see how you can fault the guy.
In addition to this, he actually talks sense ! He doesn't always get everything right but if you follow him you will see he gets it right far more often than he gets it wrong and also, as he says, you put your stop losses in before you make the trade, so your downside is limited.
I have learned a lot watching Oscar, I haven't signed up for his subscription service, but just his free service provides excellent information.
As I mentioned above he saw a possible fundamental shift in the markets back in March 27. He had been bearish on the markets since around October 2007 - calling the top and also being consistently bearish ever since (until March 27). You can check out all the back videos on youtube - they are all still there.
He is now bullish, which means basically he sees that the charts have risen through some significant resistance areas and he is now buying the dips instead of selling the rallies. He is a very short-term daytrader and always closes his positions before the markets close.
He has not said that we have seen THE bottom for the markets, but he is saying that at the moment the markets are bullish so there is no pointing fighting it.

It appears that there are people who are not happy with Oscar Carboni and say he is a scam artist.
My position is that I have never given Oscar Carboni a dime and have only ever used his free service. It seemed fair enough to me, his forecasts seem to me be right more often than they are wrong and I find his technical analysis interesting and generally accurate. But apparently there are premium members who find his charges way too high and are not pleased with the service he provides. And he doesn't like criticism apparently.
I've got to admit I looked at his charges and decided I couldn't afford them and like with all people charging money for 'services' there is always a lingering doubt about why they need to charge a subscription when they are so good at making money on the stock market etc...
So check out the site in the comment above and make up your own mind. Like I said I only ever use his free service so I'm not in a position to say how good or bad he is once he's got your money.
Well I just use his free service - but what he says generally seems to make sense - if his stops are too wide why not just set your own stops lower ?
